NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Firefighters discovered a body after extinguishing a trailer fire late Wednesday night in east Nashville.
A Metro police helicopter spotted the burning trailer behind Cornerstone Baptist Church on the corner of Dickerson Pike and Duke Street around 10:30 p.m.
The trailer was destroyed by the flames.
As firefighters began to sift through the charred items, they discovered a body in the trailer.
Authorities were working to determine the person's identity and why the person was in the trailer.
Firefighters said it's possible the victim was home homeless and was seeking shelter.
