JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - Federal authorities have charged a dozen people in West Tennessee with drug trafficking in cocaine and crack cocaine.
The U.S. attorney's office in Jackson said a complaint was filed on Wednesday in federal court alleging the individuals conspired to possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine and 280 grams of crack cocaine between August and January.
Multiple search warrants were served in and around Brownsville. Prosecutors named the defendants as 36-year-old Travis Ballard, 36-year-old Patrick Dancy, 26-year-old Brandon Dickerson, 31-year-old Travis Hester, 28-year-old Decornick Moore, 26-year-old Kevin Reed, 33-year-old Homer Rivers, 29-year-old Mario Seymour, 26-year-old James Turner Jr., 36-year-old Cortoyes Robinson and 25-year-old Jermichael Buggs.
The prosecutor's office said one person who was not identified has agreed to turn himself in. The complaint has been sealed.
