NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Madison man is behind bars in Nashville charged in two separate rape cases and Metro police believe he may be responsible for more attacks.

Roger Wayne Henry, 31, was arrested Sunday for raping a 40-year-old woman while his 13-month-old child was in the next room.

Following his arrest, a 17-year-old positively identified Henry as the man who raped her at gunpoint last July.

Henry is presently jailed on one count of aggravated rape for Sunday's incident, as well as one count of aggravated rape and two counts of aggravated kidnapping from last summer's incident.

The alleged victim in this week's assault told police Henry picked her up in the early morning hours of Sunday on Old Hickory Boulevard near Randy Road.  His child was in his SUV, she reported.

The woman said while she and Henry had engaged in sex for money in the past, there was no deal or agreement Sunday morning.

The victim told detectives that when she refused Henry's advances after they arrived at his mobile home, he pulled a gun, bound her hands with tape and raped her.

The woman reported his child was in a separate bedroom at the time.  Police said the child was not harmed.

After the assault, Henry dropped off the woman near the intersection of Gallatin Pike and Maple Street where she went into a store and called police.

Henry was arrested later that morning after his wife arrived home and allowed police to enter their residence after Henry initially refused.

According to the police report, the victim told detectives Henry spoke of rape fantasies in previous encounters.  His wife also told police her husband is "sexually deviant" and has acted out rape-play fantasies before.

Last July, Henry is alleged to have picked up two female teenagers, ages 17 and 18, in the Inglewood area.

Police said he drove them to a nearby parking lot where he raped the 17-year-old at gunpoint.  The 18-year-old managed to escape.

Johnny Lambert and his wife Bershia live next door to Henry and while they were shocked to learn of his arrest, suspected something wasn't right.

"I think he beat on her, you could hear it from over here like rolling through the trailer," Bershia Lambert recalled, referring to Henry's wife.

The Lamberts have a 12-year-old daughter and told Nashville's News 2 Investigates they are just glad their neighbor was caught when he was.

Johnny Lambert said, "What is going through my mind, if he touched my daughter, you'd need more than the news out here!"

Henry, whose arrest history reflects an assault charge in 2005, is being held in the Metro jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond.

Detectives say it's possible he has victimized other women in the Nashville area.

Anyone with information about Henry is urged to contact Metro's sex crimes unit at 615-862-7540.
