Fire forces woman from mobile home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A south Nashville woman was forced from her mobile home after a fire started in the kitchen early Wednesday morning.

The blaze broke out around 1:30 a.m. at the home on Murfreesboro Pike.

Firefighters told Nashville's News 2 the fire started in the kitchen and caused some damage to the remainder of the interior.

The woman made it out safely.

Fire officials said she decided to spend the night with family even though the home was still livable.

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
