MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Morristown say a young boy has been accidentally shot and wounded while playing with a pistol.
The 7-year-old was flown to University of Tennessee Hospital after the incident shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, according to the Citizen Tribune. It wasn't immediately clear where the child was struck.
Investigators said three boys were in a house, playing with the loaded weapon, which they thought was a toy.
Authorities described the wound as life-threatening.
