NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
On Saturday, Wanderland Mobile Food Park hosted more than a dozen food trucks in Germantown as part of its "Feastival."
Giachery Lizarraga and his wife started the business, which coordinates markets and promotes mobile food service events in Nashville after a recent food truck boom.
Lizarraga told Nashville's News 2 despite finding success with the business, there have been a few bumps along the road with the food truck craze.
"There have been municipal issues, to parking issues and even a few brick and mortar issues," he explained.
Currently, food truck fans have to track down their favorite vendor via popular social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
Kent Davis is the owner of Just Like Nanny Fixed It. He told Nashville's News 2 his truck can often be found in various parts of the city.
"We are at Metro Center, we are down in Brentwood, we are at West End," he said.
Davis said he welcomes the food truck explosion and that the vendors are like family, not competitors.
"We all help each other out," he said.
Lizarraga said he wants Wanderland wants to have a few permanent locations for trucks to park regularly in the near future.
Kenneth Robinson of The Hot Spot, a breakfast and hot chicken truck, agrees that having a one stop food shop location will only appeal to more customers.
Saturday's mobile fleet of food trucks brought self proclaimed "foodie" Barbi Embody in town from Thompson Station.
"It smells wonderful and I'm hungry. This is perfect," she said.
Wanderland plans to host "Food Truck February" each Saturday and Sunday of the month at Elmington Park located on West End.
The company hopes to have a permanent location by the summer.
