Metro schools, others closed Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Several school districts are closed Friday, including Davidson, Williamson, Wilson and Rutherford counties.

Maury and Bedford counties had yet to close as of 6 a.m. Friday.

On Thursday, Metro, among other districts, cancelled all after-school programs and activities including all athletic events, practices and tutoring.

Thursday night's Winter Graduation Ceremony at McGavock High School was also postponed.  A makeup date was not immediately scheduled.

Clarksville-Montgomery County and Sumner county schools also cancelled after-school events.

A cold front pushed through the region Thursday afternoon, bringing a few inches of snow to some areas.  Nashville saw only a dusting.

It will be cold Friday with highs only in the 30s.
