According to officials with the Music City Center, the convention center has already pre-booked 600,000 room nights.
Officials with the Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau said they hope to reach the one million mark before the new convention center opens in 2013.
Some of the pre-booked dates stretch into 2023.
The new convention center is located just south of the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville.
The $585 million, 1.2 million square foot project will feature a ballroom and 60 meeting rooms of varying sizes.
