NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The case of the driver and his girlfriend charged following a collision last month on Demonbreun Street that left a pedestrian dead and his friend critically wounded has been continued until next month.

Trevor Bradshaw, 23, and Erin Brown, 21, were scheduled to appear in a Davidson County courtroom Wednesday morning.

The case was continued until February 23.  The pair did not appear.

Police said Bradshaw was behind the wheel of the car that struck 22-year-old Michael Brooksher and 21-year-old Tommy Allen in the early morning hours of December 10.

Brooksher died two days later at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police said Bradshaw ran from the scene following the collision, leaving his wounded girlfriend behind.

He surrendered to police later that day.

Both Bradshaw and Brown are charged with vehicular homicide, among other charges.

Brown is charged because Bradshaw was driving her car.  She was the front seat passenger.

According to the arrest report, Brown gave her keys to Bradshaw and allowed him to operate her vehicle knowing he had been drinking that night and was drunk.

Donations to the Brooksher and Allen families can be made at any U.S. Bank to the T and B Foundation.
