PULASKI, Tenn. -

For a third year in a row, a Pulaski dentist provided free dental work to hundreds of people on Friday.

Dr. Tesa Reeves provided the work with the help of several dentists and 100 volunteers.

"It is very special, because we are helping our community. We are helping the people in need that might not have dental insurance and need some work done right before Christmas," she said.

Dr. Thomas Hadley was among the dozen dentists that volunteered his services to the event.

"This is an unbelievable opportunity to help some folks out that need some help," he said.

Attendees received full service at the event and depending on their needs; some received x-rays, fillings, extractions and fillings.

Todd Yannayon was among those who received dental work.

"I am self employed and I do not have dental insurance," he explained.

For the first time in the event's three year history, the Free Dental Day expanded to First United Methodist Church where patients stayed in a waiting area and received their initial exam.

"On of the things we wanted to do was offer a ministry of hospitality to open our doors up warm fellowship a warm place to sit and just try to embrace these folks as they wait to get cared for," explained Wayne Davis of First United Methodist Church.

Dr. Reeves said the event would not be possible with out the generosity of the dentists and other volunteers.

"We couldn't do it without the generous volunteers and supporters of monetary donations and from our dental supply vendors," she said.
