HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. -

Tyrone Tackett was indicted on first degree murder charges Tuesday for the 2003 death of his wife, Salena.

The 39-year-old man was indicted in July for solicitation to commit murder, for allegedly trying to hire a hit man to kill his wife.

Tackett initially reported to authorities that his wife, Salena, went missing from their upscale home in Hendersonville on January 31, 2003, leaving behind her two children, car and purse.

The pair had wed the week before. Salena has not been located since.

Tackett sold his Hendersonville home shortly after his wife's disappearance and left Sumner County.

He was arrested by Florida police in July.

His court date was not released and he remains in jail in lieu of bond.
