New arrest warrants charging vehicular homicide by intoxication were issued Tuesday morning against the two persons accused in Saturday morning's crash on Demonbreun Street that critically injured two pedestrians.
One of the victims, Michael Brooksher, 22, of Greenbrier, died Monday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The second victim, Tommy Allen, Jr., 23, of Cross Plains, remains in critical condition.
Trevor Bradshaw, 23, is alleged to have been drunk and behind the wheel of the Toyota Scion that struck Brooksher and Allen.
Police said he ran from the scene following the 2:25 a.m. collision, leaving his wounded girlfriend behind.
Bradshaw surrendered to police Saturday evening and was booked into the Metro jail on two counts of felony vehicular assault and one count of leaving the scene of an injury crash.
He was released on $7,500 bond.
Officers are now working to arrest him on the vehicular homicide charge.
Bradshaw's girlfriend, Erin Brown, 21, was the front seat passenger in the vehicle and received minor injuries.
She was arrested Saturday night on two counts of vehicular assault for permitting Bradshaw to drive her car while allegedly intoxicated.
Brown posted a $3,000 bond.
Officers are also working to arrest her on the new vehicular homicide count.
