NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Country musicians and songwriters Alan Jackson and Kix Brooks were among those who were honored with a star on Music City Walk of Fame on Sunday.

The induction ceremony was held at Noon at the Walk of Fame Park in downtown Nashville.

"Twenty something years ago, the first time driving down Music Row up here with a paper sack full of songs, I never could never imagine standing here in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame in the heart of Nashville and the heart of country music and having them put my name on this concrete," Jackson said.

He added, "The fans are the ones to me that put that name there."

Clothing designer Manuel, Dr. Bobby Jones, Dottie Rambo and the late guitar pioneer Les Paul, as well as the late television news anchor Dan Miller were also honored at the ceremony.

The Music City Walk of Fame opened in the fall of 2009 and pays tribute to musicians of all genres of music that have made significant contributions to preserving the musical heritage of Nashville and have contributed to the world through song or other industry collaboration.
