NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Regal Cinemas' Opry Mills Stadium and IMAX movie theater announced plans for its grand opening event next month.

The movie theater, located inside the mall, has been closed since the historic flood of 2010.

It will hold a much anticipated reopening event Friday, November 18, with preview events for local charities scheduled November 14 through 16.

The three day preview events will include $2 movies, popcorn and soft drinks with proceeds benefiting several Tennessee charities, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Nashville Film Festival, among others.

The movie theater is one of four businesses that have announced intentions to open for the holiday shopping season at the renovated mall.

Sun & Ski Sports will also open on November 18, while Dave & Buster's and VF Outlet plan to open before year's end.

The theater's grand opening event coincides with the opening of "Twilight: Breaking Dawn: Part I" and "Happy Feet 2."
