NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro police are investigating if the driver responsible for a fatal three car wreck Saturday night in west Nashville had been drinking.
The wrecked happened around 8 p.m. on Harding Pike at Brook Hollow Road.
According to police, 34-year-old Mulki Oday was behind the wheel of an Infinity that crossed the center lane into oncoming traffic.
He struck 28-year-old Ernest Adams, who was driving a Honda Accord.
The Infinity and Accord were then struck by the driver of a Ford Taurus, 19-year-old Colby Herbert.
Adams was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
Oday was transported to Vanderbilt with critical injuries.
A three-year-old girl riding in Oday's car in a safety seat was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Herbert was transported to St. Thomas Hospital, also with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are trying to determine why Oday crossed the center turn lane.
Police told Nashville's News 2 there was evidence of alcohol in his car.
