Lauren joined WKRN in September of 2011 to anchor News 2 This Morning Weekend. You can catch her and Davis Nolan at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Saturdays and at 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Sundays.
Before arriving in Nashville, Lauren spent three years reporting in Las Vegas. She followed the O.J. Simpson robbery case and received an Emmy nomination for her coverage of underage sex trafficking, but she is probably best known for hopping on a live bull or as "that girl who bungee jumped off the Stratosphere Hotel."
Lauren began her career in Buddy Holly's hometown of Lubbock, Texas, where she had the opportunity to interview his muse, Peggy Sue. She also covered the death penalty case involving a former U.S. Marine accused of killing two young women and followed the imprisonment and eventual release of two men wrongly convicted of murder.
Lauren is a proud Texan and graduate of Rice University, where she double-majored in psychology and sport management. She was a miler for the Lady Owls and a two-time Texas State Champion distance runner.
She's a member of the Junior League of Nashville, a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run, and a teaching assistant at the Scott-Ellis School of Irish Dance.
She is thrilled to call East Nashville home, and is always on the lookout for meaningful stories.
