NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man police say was dressed like a woman was stabbed early Wednesday morning at a west Nashville convenience store.

Metro police said the victim got off a bus around 2 a.m. and was walking toward the Daily's Shell station on Charlotte Pike at Cabot Drive when he was approached by the two suspects.

One of the suspects yelled something to the victim and grabbed his arm.

The victim struggled with suspect and received a laceration to the chest area.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  His injuries did not appear to be life threatening.

The suspects, described only as black males, remained on the run Wednesday morning.

The victim is the second cross-dressing victim attacked in Nashville in two days.

Early Tuesday morning, a man dressed like a woman was shot near University Court in south Nashville.

Police said the suspect shot the victim after learning he was a man and not a woman.

Detectives have not said the cases are connected.
