Our History

Advantage Building Components, LLC had its beginnings in East Tennessee in the early 1980s.  Steve Case and his wife, Kathy, are proud to have established this family owned business over 28 years ago and continue to diversify their product lines to meet the demands of Nashville homeowners.

In 1985, Mr. Case added custom shutters and window blinds to his product line. Advantage Shutters was the outcome of this decision and hundreds of satisfied customers will attest to the beauty and quality of the resulting Advantage Shutter.

 Advantage has built their business reputation on their service, quality and experienced sales staff and production team.  Their manufacturing facility, in LaVergne, affords the company the ability to make custom interior and exterior shutters and the capabilities of offering customers repairs and repainting of existing shutters.

Advantage can pick up the customer's shutters, repair or repaint them and take them back to reinstall in the customer's home within 7 to 10 working days.    Custom color matches and stain matches are one of the specialties offered by this local company.  

Advantage has expanded their closet division to include custom laminate and wood closet systems.  Many options are available to the homeowner for their closet needs from center islands to custom racks and storage units. The closet design is based on the customer's needs as determined during the free consultation with Advantage's experienced sales associate.
