NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency will hold a grand opening celebration Tuesday for its new apartment community in the Rolling Mill Hill development downtown.
Nashville Mayor Karl Dean will join MDHA Executive Director Phil Ryan for the grand opening celebration of Nance Place at 5:30 p.m.
The new, 109-unit development features one, two and three bedroom apartments, an interior court yard and underground parking.
The complex was constructed with sustainable materials and energy efficient products and has several environmentally friendly features.
The public is invited to attend the event and tour new units.
The redevelopment of Rolling Mill Hill is part of a larger rebirth of Rutledge Hill, one of Nashville's first suburban neighborhoods, and will improve infrastructure and sidewalks along Hermitage Avenue from Lindsley Avenue to the Korean Veterans Bridge.
The goal is to bring real community feel to the so-called "in town neighborhood."
