NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two Mid-State moms followed their passion and started a blog about style and now they're reaching women all over the country.
Whether you're into fashion, food, the arts or travel, there's something for just about everyone at StyleBlueprint.com.
"It is the blueprint for what you want to take to bring into your own life," said co-author Liza Graves who started the blog with Elizabeth Fox a few years ago.
The blog is written by women, for women and Graves, a Vanderbilt University grad, has put her heart and soul into turning the site about southern style into something really special.
"As women, we are really busy and it's hard to get together with your girlfriends, especially when you have kids," she said. "Elizabeth has three, I have three, but when you make that time to get together with girlfriends and you have a glass of wine, your cup is filled and you drive home and everything is right in the world."
Graves says the purpose of StyleBlueprint is to provide snippets of that conversation every day of the week.
The ladies only write about products and places they love.
"We do have so many people say to us, you have introduced me to parts of Nashville that I just never knew about and people who are new to Nashville love it because they feel an instant connection to the community," she continued.
StyleBlueprint has come a long way.
In the beginning, Graves and Fox were writing just to their girlfriends. Now they're writing to 35,000 girlfriends everywhere.
"We love it! It's very gratifying to look at your article you've written and see 2,000 people read it that day and that's really fun!" Graves exclaimed.
Graves says they spent the first two years just building an audience, without worrying about money.
The ladies don't sell ads, but they have started the StyleBlueprint Deal, which is similar to Groupon. They're also looking for sponsors.
