Holly Bobo's family vows never to give up

Posted:

PARSONS, Tenn. – Holly Bobo's family and friends promise to never stop looking for her as the search for the 20-year-old nursing student stretches into its third month.

"It seems like it gets harder everyday, but we are not giving up," mother Karen Bobo told Nashville's News 2. "We have to keep believing and keep hoping and we do."

Bobo was last seen on the morning of April 13 outside her family's Darden home. Her brother Clint saw a man dressed in camouflage leading his sister away into the woods.

She has not been seen since.

"We will never give up.  We have searched day and night.  We will be there looking for her from now on no matter how long it takes," father Dana Bobo said.

Bobo's disappearance sparked a massive search by law enforcement and volunteers.

During the search, investigators received a phone tip which led them to a "significant" piece of evident.

Investigators have yet to release what the evidence is citing the ongoing investigation to her abduction.

"Somebody knows something and they need to come forward with the information," Karen Bobo said. "We need Holly back because there are four of us, not three."

The Bobo family and others work everyday to generate leads in her disappearance.

Everyday her parents spend the day handing out fliers and talking to people about the case.  It has led to a few tips, but not enough to bring the missing student home.

"We know somebody has the information just anything," Bobo's Aunt Lorie Kennamore said.  "Please come forward."

Bobo's best friend Jill White said everyone should post pictures of Bobo at gas stations and other places across the country.

"Put Holly's picture up everywhere you can because someone will see her somewhere," she said.  "I believe God is going to bring her home.  I think God has perfect timing in everything."

In the small communities of Parsons and Darden there are pink ribbons tied on doors, cars, mailboxes and a number of other places on homes and businesses.

"It's been amazing the support we have had. Yes, that is a tremendous help," Karen Bobo said.  "Just to know every body is praying for Holly and believing we will get her back home."

The family takes some comfort in the story of Jaycee Dugard, the woman who was abducted from a bus stop near her home in South Lake Tahoe, California in 1991.

She was recovered and reunited with her family after 18 years.

The couple who abducted her held her in captivity and sexual assaulted her for several years. She gave birth to two children while be forced to live in a tent in her abductors' backyard.

"It does because we will never give up until we have her back at home," Bobo's mother said.  "I cannot see any of us ever giving up until we have her back home."

Tuesday, C&P Leasing is planning to unveil a decal that will be put on all trucks.  It will include a picture of Bobo and a number for people to call with information.

There is an $85,000 reward for information leading to Bobo's location.

Anyone with information is asked to call TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or the Decatur County Sheriff's Office at 731-852-3714.
