FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) - A Franklin father of three has created a smartphone app that reminds parents not to leave their children in a hot car. The app uses an algorithm that tracks a user's movements coordinating between Wi-Fi, GPS and cell towers. When a driver stops for three minutes or longer, the app sends out an automatic alert asking "Did you remember the kids?"
SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. (AP) - A 23-year-old man has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of his girlfriend's 3-year-old son. Justin Dale Bradley was being held in the Hamilton County Jail after he was charged Saturday night. The boy, Dakota Arndt, died late last week.

Metro Nashville Public Schools, in particular, have asked teachers to use websites, interactive videos and primary resources as the main way to teach history, geography and other social studies topics.
