GALLATIN, Tenn. – Two employees at the Hoeganaes Corporation in Gallatin critically injured in a fire at the manufacturing plant last week have died.
Eric Hulsey died Tuesday afternoon of injuries sustained in Friday's fire at the plant on Airport Road, a spokesperson at Vanderbilt University Medical Center confirmed.
Rick Lester, of Hendersonville, died Wednesday morning.
A third employee, Fred Tuttle, of Gallatin, remains at Vanderbilt in critical condition.
Two others injured in the fire were treated and released from Sumner Regional Medical Center.
The plant has yet to restart production.
Friday's fire is the third at the facility this year alone. Two workers died as the result of a flash fire in late January and in March, a third worker was injured in a similar explosion.
New Jersey-based Hoeganaes Corporation produces atomized iron powder for the auto industry.
