2nd Gallatin plant worker injured in flash fire dies - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

GALLATIN, Tenn. – A second victim of a January flash fire at a Gallatin manufacturing plant has died.

Vernon Wayne Corley, of Lebanon, died Saturday.  Corley had been at the Vanderbilt Burn Center since the January 31 fire at Hoeganaes Corporation on Airport Road.

Corley and Wiley Sherburne were fixing a broken bucket elevator when flammable metal dust ignited.

Sherburne died two days after the fire.

Another worker was injured in an unrelated incident at the same plant in March.
