Tunica casinos closing due to rising water

TUNICA, Miss. – Emergency personnel in Tunica, Mississippi will be closing area casinos over the next several days due to rising water levels that could affect access to and from the properties.

Officials planned to close Resorts Casino on Thursday and Bally's Casino Friday.  All visitors must be off the property by 2 p.m. each day.

Should the threat of rising water exist through the weekend, Fitz Casino, Hollywood Casino, Sam's Town Casino and Harrah's Casino will close on Sunday, May 1.

GoldStrike Casino, Horseshoe Casino and Roadhouse Casino are scheduled to close on Monday, May 2.

Officials said the anticipated closing schedule is based on current forecasts and is subject to change based on weather conditions.
