Search continues for missing west Tennessee woman

Posted:

PARSONS, Tenn. – The search for a missing west Tennessee woman continues after a day of reassessing efforts to find her.

Holly Bobo was last seen by her brother more than a week ago being led into the woods by an unidentified man wearing camouflage.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol Lt. Brad Wilbanks, on Friday nearly 500 volunteers are searching a more narrowly defined area after authorities ruled out territory that has been thoroughly searched for any evidence that led to the nursing student's disappearance.

Wilbanks said Decatur County Emergency Management Director Kevin Cagle remapped the search area on Thursday and authorities plan to expand the search if the missing woman has not been found by Sunday.

The TBI has recently said they believe whoever is responsible for Bobo's disappearance is from the Decatur County area but has been tightlipped beyond that.

Bobo was last seen wearing a pink shirt and light blue jeans. Pink ribbons have been hung across the town in support of the family.

An $80,000 reward is being offered for information about her disappearance

Anyone with information on Bobo's whereabouts is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
