NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A special education teacher has filed a federal lawsuit against Metro Nashville government, claiming he was falsely arrested in a prostitution sting.
The lawsuit filed in federal court by Dejuan Parker claims false arrest, malicious prosecution and civil rights violations, according to The Tennessean.
A charge of patronizing prostitution filed against Parker was dismissed last April, two months after he was charged in a sting that netted 10 arrests.
Parker claims he was arrested after rebuffing the sexual advance of an undercover police officer.
Parker's lawsuit seeks $250,000 in damages.
Metro Legal Director Sue Cain said Friday that federal court rules prevent her from discussing the case with media.
