Kroger changes coupon policy

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A change in technology has forced grocery store chain Kroger to change its coupon policy.

Spokeswoman Melissa Eads said customers will no longer be allowed to stack digital and paper coupons.  In other words, they will no longer be allowed to use both to purchase the same item.

The changes are effective immediately.

Kroger still doubles any manufacturer's coupon up to 50 cents with a max double discount to not exceed $1, Eads said.

Additional information was not released.
