Comedy show for fallen Marine's family raises $2,000

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – A comedy show held in Columbia on Saturday in support of a fallen Marine's wife and newborn son raised thousands of dollars.

The comedy show, which was held at the American Legion, raised $2,000 for Crissie and Landon Carpenter.

The newborn baby's father, Lance Cpl. Andrew Carpenter was killed while serving overseas three weeks before the infant was born.

Both mother and son are said to be doing well.

Donations to Landon's Fund can still be made at any Mid-State Regions Bank.
