Gallatin plant employee dies from burns

GALLATIN, Tenn. – An employee injured during a plant fire in Gallatin on Monday has died.

According to a report in The Gallatin Examiner, Wiley Sherburne died Wednesday morning.

Sherburne and co-worker Vernon Wayne Corley were burned Monday morning at the Hoeganaes Corporation after an electrical short triggered a flash fire.

The plant makes a form of steel and iron powders.

Corley was last listed in critical condition.
