The shopping complex alongside the Cumberland River was submerged in 12 feet of water in early May.NASHVILLE, Tenn. – There are signs the flood-damaged Opry Mills Mall may be gearing up to reopen.
According to a report in the Nashville Business Journal, Off Broadway Shoes applied for a $400,000 rebuilding permit.
The company, however, said it has no plans to reopen before the mall.
Repairs of the mall have been at a stand still after its owners filed a lawsuit against its insurance company.
To date, the company spent $50 million on flood repairs.
In September, they filed a lawsuit against the insurers of Opry Mills Mall claiming the companies owe the owners another $150 million in flood insurance payments.
