NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The human remains found Sunday afternoon among debris alongside the Harpeth River in Bellevue have been positively identified as those of missing person Danny Tomlinson.
The medical examiner's office made the positive ID through dental records on Monday.
Tomlinson, 39, of Pegram, had been missing since early Sunday, May 2, when his car ran into floodwater on Newsom Station Road near Buffalo Road in western Davidson County.
The car was found a few days later.
Tomlinson's wallet and cell phone were also found near his remains.
Services for Tomlinson will be held on Saturday at Highland Park Church on Knob Road in west Nashville.
Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The funeral will begin at 3 p.m.
All volunteers who helped search for Tomlinson in the days, weeks and months after the May flood are invited to attend. Dress is casual.
