Freeze Warning issued for portions of Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - Here we go again.

Thinking of spring has been a mere dream rather than a reality. Another freeze is expected across a large portion of middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky overnight. Check the latest weather advisories here.

Once the clouds clear, dry air along with a light wind contribute to tumbling temperatures. Therefore, the National Weather Service has a Freeze Warming in effect through 8am Tuesday morning. Lows drop to the lower 30s for most, with several low spots in the upper 20s by sunrise Tuesday morning.

We all know the drill by now, take care of tender vegetation and keep your pets inside. Click here for interactive radar.

There is light at the end of the short tunnel as much warmer air quickly comes in Tuesday afternoon under sunshine. Highs could come close to 70!

Also, could this be the last freeze of the season? We hope so as the average final freeze falls on April 6th (10 days ago). However, the latest freeze on record is April 25. Never say never.
