Local print shop's work featured at Belmont debate

Posted: Updated:

A walk inside Nashville's Hatch Show Print is like taking a trip back in time.

The 129-year-old print shop on Nashville's lower Broadway still makes posters the old way, using wood and metal blocks.

The business is one of the oldest working letterpress print shops in America.

Over the years, its posters have featured performers ranging from Patsy Cline to The Dave Matthews Band.

Tuesday, everyone attending the presidential debate will walk away with their own copy of a Hatch Show Print poster.

Designers spent more than two days printing 5,500 copies of the posters.

CNN also hired the company to create promotional materials for its presidential election coverage.
