Mike Heimerdinger to return to Titans

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Wednesday night, the Rocky Mountain News reported that Mike Heimerdinger has accepted the job as offensive coordinator for the Titans and a deal will be announced Thursday or Friday.

The Dinger was responsible for helping quarterback Steve McNair thrive from 2000 to 2003 when he was named co-MVP of the NFL but questions remain.

Heimerdinger is basically taking the same job he had with the Broncos as OC and Assistant Head Coach.  If the money is the same, the question is why?

Also, there have been some huge grumblings on message boards for and against the firing of Norm Chow.

A lot of people say head coach Jeff Fisher handled it very badly by calling Chow on the phone, instead of a face to face.

Either way, Chow will get paid $1 million by the Titans this year and next year to basically not do a thing.  Remember that when you are grumbling about your PSLs and how much it costs to park at LP Field.

Anyway, it is going to be a wild off season for the Titans and it just started.  Training camp is still seven months away.
