Macy's has announced it will close 11 underperforming stores in nine states, including the store at the Bellevue Center Mall.
Cincinnati-based Macy's Inc. said the closures will cost about $65 million and affect 960 employees.
The Macy's at Bellevue Center opened in 1990. A company press release indicated 76 employees there could be affected.
In addition to the Bellevue location, stores in Los Angeles, West Palm Beach, Indianapolis and St. Louis, among others, are scheduled to shut down.
One of the weakest holiday seasons in years is being blamed for the closures.
Final clearance sales at the Bellevue location will begin within the next week.
