William GrotheAuthorities in Franklin and Nashville are seeking the public's assistance in locating a 62-year-old attorney who was last seen Wednesday afternoon.
Metro police said William Grothe was last seen at his office on Music Square East just after 12 Noon Wednesday.
Later Wednesday some of his personal belongings, including jewelry, driver's license and credit cards, were found in a tied plastic shopping bag in the front yard of a home on South 5th Street.
Then, at about 11:30 p.m., Metro police said Grothe's car was found parked and locked in Shelby Park, near the boat ramp.
There were no signs of a struggle or foul play and a search of the area turned up nothing.
Anyone with information on Grothe's whereabouts is urged to call Franklin police at 615-794-2513 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
