An ex-convict suspected in more than 100 burglaries in the Bellevue and Forest Hills areas over the past five months in now behind bars.
Thomas Bailey Norman was arrested Friday afternoon after he came out of a burglarized home on Westerly Drive carrying a TV.
Police said Norman, 57, is also believed to have broken into a home on Graybar Lane Friday.
Investigators said they had been working for months to apprehend the serial burglar who police said would break into homes during the daytime hours and steal jewelry and electronics.
Norman was released from the state prison system in March after his 20-year sentence for three 1992 burglaries expired.
Records reflect he has a total of 12 convictions dating back to 1979. 10 are for burglary offenses.
Norman has been charged with two counts of aggravated burglary.
Police said additional charges are expected.
