NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The investigation continues after a Nashville mother was found fatally shot in her home Sunday afternoon.

Veronica Bozza's boyfriend found the 39-year-old's body in the living room of her New John Hagar Road in Hermitage at about 12:30 p.m.

Approximately one hour earlier, Metro police said Bozza dropped off her eight-year-old son with her estranged husband at a parking lot on Thompson Lane.

Detectives Sunday evening verified the well being of the child and interviewed the estranged husband.

Police said he was cooperative, as was the boyfriend who found the body.

Evidence at the scene suggests Bozza was not a random victim and was specifically targeted.

The motive remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

Persons who contact Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward of $1,000.
