Daniel Brown
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The body of an 18-year-old man missing more than a week was found Wednesday in the Massman Drive area along Mill Creek.
Nashville Fire Department spokeswoman Kim Lawson said the body is that of Daniel Alexander Brown although an autopsy will provide official confirmation.
Brown was last seen last Sunday evening, May 2, while tubing in Mill Creek in the Antioch area.
Two of Brown's friends were able to make it to shore and reported that the swift current slammed Brown into a bridge pillar and then down stream.
His body was found by an off-duty Nashville Fire Department captain at about 11:40 a.m. Wednesday under some thick brush and mud.
The area was inaccessible due to flood waters until Monday.
Firefighters brought the victim out of the creek area by rappelling up a 30-foot bluff.
Brown is the tenth victim in Davidson County killed in last week's floods.
The search continues in western Davidson County for 39-year-old Danny Tomlinson.
The Pegram man was last seen in his car late last Saturday night, May 1, on Newsom Station Road near Buffalo Road off Highway 70.
Several people who helped search for Brown will now go and aid in the search for Tomlinson in the Bellevue area.
