NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A convicted murderer who pleaded guilty to selling the gun used to kill former Tennessee Titans' quarterback Steve McNair has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
Adrian Gilliam, 33, of LaVergne, was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Nashville.
Gilliam acknowledged during a court hearing in September that he sold a loaded 9 mm semiautomatic pistol for $100 to McNair's mistress, 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi.
Metro police said Kazemi used the weapon to kill McNair and then herself on July 4.
Gilliam was arrested two weeks later and initially pleaded not guilty.
