Metro Council to decide voter impact on convention center

Posted:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro Council members will meet Tuesday night to decide if voters should decide if a massive downtown Music City Convention Center should be built.

Also on the schedule, city councilors will take up the issue of what to do with the businesses in the footprint of where that convention center would be built.

The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency has already negotiated with seven of the 14 business in that footprint to move.

It also filed a lawsuit Friday to take control of seven other properties within that footprint.
