CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A juvenile judge in Clarksville has ruled that two teenage boys charged with killing one of their fathers will be tried as adults.
Fifteen-year-old John Patrick George and 17-year-old Alexander Hart and charged with first-degree murder in the death of 50-year-old Gilbert Hart.
Hart's older sister, 18-year-old Rebecca Hart, is also charged.
Wednesday's ruling means evidence against the boys will be presented to a Montgomery County grand jury.
If indicted, they would be tried as adults.
Gilbert Hart was fatally shot in his home on June 2.
Detectives have yet to release a motive but hinted in court last month that the Hart children may have had issues with the way their father treated them.
Bond for George and Alexander Hart was set at $500,000 each Wednesday.
Rebecca Hart posted a $250,000 bond earlier this month and was released from jail.
