Hundreds of area college students and alumni will be lining up to submit their resumes Tuesday at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds.
Nashville Career Fairs is holding a two-in-one event, with a Teacher Recruitment Fair and a College to Career Fair.
Representatives from school districts in Wisconsin, Virginia and Texas, among others, will be at the job fair, looking to fill positions.
One representative from 100 school districts in the Dallas, Texas-area will be looking to hire 6,000 people between now and August.
Candidates in program fields ranging from liberal arts to nursing, engineering, business administration, aeronautics and organizational development will also be on hand.
MTSU Career Counselor Bill Fletcher said they originally allotted for 500 students and graduates to attend but have since handed out 700 tickets.
"I don't know the last time we came close to that many tickets," he told News 2.
Tuesday's job fair begins at 10 a.m. and runs through 3 p.m. at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds.
The job fair is only open to current students or alumni from the following schools:
- Aquinas College
- Athens State University
- Austin Peay University
- Belmont University
- Cumberland University
- Fisk University
- Lipscomb University
- Martin Methodist University
- Middle Tennessee State University
- Tennessee State University
- Tennessee Tech University
- Trevecca Nazarene University
- University of the South
- UT Space Institute
- Vanderbilt University
- Western Kentucky University
The job fair is currently at capacity.
