Metro police arrested and charged a man with kidnapping his girlfriend.

Officers allege Gregory Tripp chained his girlfriend to a bed in their mobile home, and assaulted her.

The woman told police her boyfriend threatened to kill her, and held her hostage for four days.

"Officers could see obvious signs of injury there was bruising on her body there were spots where she had been cut with a knife, also poked with a safety pin," said Metro police spokesperson Don Aaron.

Tripp is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and rape.
