CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Two central Kentucky firefighters remained hospitalized a day after they were shocked by a power line while helping out with an "ice bucket challenge." A hospital spokesman said Campbellsville Fire Capt. Tony Grider was in critical condition yesterday in the University of Louisville Medical Center's burn unit. Simon Quinn was in fair condition there.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky's state parties have filing dueling complaints against Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell and Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes. The GOP says Grimes accepted prohibited campaign donations from her father's company. Democrats suggest McConnell improperly solicited campaign contributions. Both campaigns denounced the complaints aimed at them.

HARLAN, Ky. (AP) - The Humane Society is offering a $500 reward for information leading to conviction in the shooting deaths of 28 wild horses in Harlan County. Anyone with information should contact the Humane Society at (606) 573-0016 or any law enforcement agency.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Louisville facility that treats drug addicts says it is planning a major expansion to meet a growing need due to the heroin epidemic. Plans call for increasing the number of detox beds from 24 to at least 50 and the long-term recovery beds from 250 to 426.
