LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Canadian man is accused of stalking and harassing the family of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and is awaiting a July 23 trial date in the Jefferson County jail. Officials allege 23-year-old Han Cong Zhao contacted Lawrence's brother, Blaine, more than 200 times before flying to Louisville April 18 and that he continued trying to contact him when Zhao was involuntarily held at a psychiatric hospital in Louisville.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A police affidavit in the stalking case of an Army officer who manages the sexual harassment and assault response program at Fort Campbell says Lt. Col. Darin Haas threatened to kill his ex-wife in text messages. According to the affidavit, Alissa Owen told police on Wednesday that Haas had been sending threatening text messages since Nov. 2011, shortly before their divorce was finalized.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Federal officials have arrested six people and charged them with hauling 4,890 pounds of marijuana to Kentucky for packaging and sale. In an affidavit unsealed Friday, Drug Enforcement Administration Brian Bester said agents followed the six men using wiretaps and tracking GPS data through Kentucky and Indiana.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - A member of Gov. Steve Beshear's cabinet, Tourism, Arts and Heritage Secretary Marcheta Sparrow, is retiring at the end of May. A statement from Beshear's office on Friday said Sparrow plans to spend more time with her family, pursue new interests and become more involved in her hometown of Harrodsburg.
