KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) - An eastern Tennessee woman has agreed to plead guilty to falsely claiming a relative's bottle of Tropicana juice had been poisoned. Fifty-two-year-old 52-year-old Elizabeth Ann Carrier of Bluff City reached a deal with prosecutors and will enter the plea in federal court on Monday.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A mail processing plant in Lexington, Kentucky, is scheduled to move to Louisville and Knoxville, Tennessee in 2015. The processing center is among 82 centers nationwide that are planned for consolidation.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee officials have signed a five-year, $60 million contract with a Kansas City, Missouri, firm to produce the "Made in Tennessee" tourism campaign. The marketing agency VML, which has opened a Nashville office, produced two 30-second TV commercials promoting getting outdoors in Tennessee.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Clarksville are investigating who burned a cross in front of a church and why. A police spokesman says the case is classified as a hate crime. A church members saw the cross propped up against a closed gate at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church's parking lot yesterday morning and reported it to the police.
