NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The state chapter of the NAACP joined with health care advocates in a rally Thursday calling on Gov. Bill Haslam to expand Medicaid in Tennessee. About 50 protesters gathered on the War Memorial Plaza across the street from the state Capitol and the demonstrators say more events are planned this year.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A federal judge is scheduled to hear arguments in a lawsuit accusing the state of failing to provide certain services required by the federal health care law. The lawsuit was filed by the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Tennessee Justice Center and the National Health Law Program.

SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) - An automotive parts manufacturer is expanding its distribution facility in Smyrna and is expected to create more than 130 additional jobs in Rutherford County. Gov. Bill Haslam and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty say Federal-Mogul is investing more than $6 million to expand.
