Wrestling match to pay tribute to fairgrounds

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A night of wrestling later this month at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds will pay tribute to the property south of downtown Nashville while benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

City leaders want to shut down the fairgrounds and turn part of the 177-acre property into a park.

Before that happens, Southern AllStar Wrestling is planning a show at the arena located on the fairgrounds, featuring a match between WWE Superstar and Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler and "Superstar" Bill Dundee.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

VIP tickets cost $14 each.  General Admission tickets are $10.

Two dollars from each ticket purchased will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

Tickets are available now at SAWFairgrounds.VZE.com or by calling 724-355-3172.  Tickets will also be sold at the door.
