Murfreesboro metal plant catches fire

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Firefighters cut into the roof of a Rutherford County metal plant to reach an early Tuesday morning fire.

The fire started just before 2 a.m. at Paulo Products Company on Rutledge Drive.

Commanders told News 2, a vent pipe became too hot and caught some insulation on fire.

The fire then spread to the roof.

Firefighters had to go up to the roof to put the fire out but managed to limit the damage.
