Inmate indicted in murder of east Nashville clerk

Posted:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Metro inmate already jailed for the shooting death of one Nashville man is now charged in a second death.

LeSergio Wilson, 23, was booked Friday on a grand jury indictment charging him with first-degree murder in the shooting death of east Nashville market clerk Usama Younan Shehata.

Shehata, 35, worked as a clerk at the Smoke Depot discount tobacco store on Porter Road.

On April 7, he had just locked up for the night and was walking to his car when he was robbed and shot.

The investigation continues as there could be a second suspect in Shehata's death, according to police.

Wilson has been in jail since May 21 for a first-degree murder charge in the death of David Hurst.

Hurst was found shot to death inside his mobile home on Old Trinity Lane last October.
